Testimonials

  • “Lucy's enthusiasm, talent and attention to detail put her shoulders, heads and wigs above the rest. She is immensely capable, flexible and dedicated, and her specialised skills in prosthetics, wound and horror make her a vital part of any project that requires something special and showstopping. Whether it's working in period, fantasy, sci-fi or slasher, I would heartily recommend her to anyone looking for a make-up artist to bring their project to the next level, as Lucy has a gift for the otherworldly.”

  • "Lucy provided first class make-up for our fantasy-adventure series, Ren: The Girl with the Mark. With the whole plot revolving around a lead and several supporting characters with patterns, birthmarks or scars on their faces, we needed a skilled and creative make-up team and Lucy was a major part of that. She also applied two stages of a prosthetic burn on the villain as well as wounds, dirt and other general make-up. As a crowdfunded production Ren had limited resources and prep time, and long hours of shooting, but Lucy tackled all these challenges with experience, sound technical knowledge and a positive attitude. She collaborated well with the other MUAs and the rest of the crew, ensuring continuity and producing great results on camera. The villain’s burn in particular received a featured close-up which was a stand-out shot."

  • "Lucy was an absolute delight to work with. She was kind, talented, and professional. We had a number of looks to get through in a short amount of time, and Lucy designed & executed every single one both quickly & perfectly. I would definitely recommend her, and we look forward to working with her again in the future!"

A truly fantastic person to work with throughout. [She] know[s her] stuff. I can trust that whatever work [she] produce[s] will be brilliant. I admire how [she] went above and beyond, specifically with [her] drawings and research to create the best work [she] can which I respect a ton."

  • “Our makeup artist was ill so I called up Lucy to see if she could come down and create a cut throat prosthetic that spouted blood. It was a long shot but she really pulled through and created some amazing work … She gelled amazingly with the cast and crew and we were all singing her praises… ”

  • "So wonderful to work with! Lucy made sitting in the makeup chair so comfortable. Everyday I was left feeling naturally beautiful. Lovely conversation and great skincare tips, she really knows her stuff. Seen a great improvement in my skin since Lucy recommended a few products!"

  • "I was the costume supervisor on the set of 'Ren- The Girl with the Mark' which is how I met Lucy and immediately she stood out to me as highly skilled. She was professional, straightforward, and such a warm and friendly presence. Lucy handled a ridiculously large workload singlehandedly on most days, she created a relaxing space for the actors (who would have to sit in her chair for up to two hours each day) … I am counting down the days before the next project we get to work on together, I cannot recommend Lucy highly enough, she is in a league of her own."

  • Having worked with Lucy for a month getting all different kinds of wounds on my face and body I can confidently say she is an absolute delight to work with on all fronts. The quality and detail of the prosthetics was to the highest standard. Alongside her excellent work she is wonderful to be around on set, always organised and perfectly strikes the balance of having fun while remaining focused. I can't recommend working with her highly enough!
